Profile My work aims to explore the rise and fall in the cycle of becoming and becoming undone, which reveals the world’s loud and quiet forces at play. I try to aim for a “gesamtkunstwerk”, an interplay of myself, the viewer, materials involved, and the “outside” influences that are always present in every part of this cycle of intra-acting. Think of metal that corrodes, gravity which dictates our movements, heat or chemistry that morphs and moulds the essence of “a thing“ into something of a different make up all together. Soil which hosts a stage for more complexity of being then we can begin to imagine. And not in the least think of our cultural beliefs, histories and structures can influence how we perceive and relate to ourselves, other people and the world we live in. My works are often installations that aim to create space in which these shaping elements, are made tangible. An assemblage of different types of media and materials aswel as the exploration of other crafts and philosophies. They centre in physicality of things, the materials, my body that labours in constructing them, or by welcoming the sensory participation of the audience, and inviting them to take part in the process of becoming, be it disruptive or not.
